Background: In which we present “tips and tricks”. We will present techniques which we use to make our burns theatre more efficient and safer. As well as skin grafting techniques that are successful and less traumatic to the children.

Methods: 1.Intra-operative endotracheal tube stabilisation for facial burns. 2. A technique for securing split-thickness skin grafts in, paediatric burn patients. 3. The ‘Vacsplint’ for Hands Plus unpublished 'tricks'.

Results: Pictures in talk.

Conclusions: We present a slide show of 'tips' and 'tricks' from the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital Burn Unit.
