These are some of the highlights from the DGII 2011 in Frankfurt in February: After the femtosecond laser (FSL) has become established in cornea and refraktive surgery, it is now being used in clinical cataract surgery. The corneal incision, the capsulorhexis and the nucleus fragmentation can be carried out with integrated on-line OCT femtosecond laser. Further topics like complicated situations of the cataract operation with dense nuclei, the problems of the decentered und dislocated IOL- and IOL explantation will be represented
