The development of a Tracheocutaneous fistula (TCF) is rare, but due to longer cannulation periods, recurrent clinical problem. Many procedures have been published concerning the different methods of closure for TCFs. None the less, some complications are associated with these procedures so that surgeons are continuously searching for new methods. This case report presents a successful, single sited, multilayered Cartilo- Musculo-Cutaneous bilobed flap (CMC) for the closure of a TCF in a burns patient, where currently practiced closure methods could not be used due to his severe burns.
